Pumpkin Spice French Toast

Wake up and smell the pumpkin spice! Enjoy a new and delicious breakfast treat with family and friends the day after your fun fall weekend. Find out how to make your own below…

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 loaf of texas toast
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cup milk (2% is preferred)
  • 1 tbsp vanilla
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • Pumpkin butter

DIRECTIONS

  1. Grease a 9 x 13 pan
  2. Combine 1 cup brown sugar and melted butter into a small bowl
  3. Pour mixture into greased pan*
  4. Beat together all six eggs, milk and vanilla – set to the side when done
  5. Put down one layer of texas toast bread on top of the melted butter and brown sugar mixture
  6. Pour half of the egg mixture on top of the first layer of bread**
  7. Sprinkle 2 tsp of cinnamon and 2 tsp of brown sugar over the first layer of bread
  8. Take your pumpkin butter and spread a little bit on top of the layer of bread
  9. Repeat steps 5 thru 8 with adding a second layer of texas toast
  10. Seal your pan – lid or aluminum foil, your preference
  11. Place in the refrigerator over night
*Tilt pan until the entire pan is covered with the mixture | **Make sure all of the bread is covered by the mixture.

NEXT STEPS

  1. The morning after preheat the oven to 350 degrees
  2. Place French Toast in the oven covered for 30 minutes
  3. After 15 minutes, uncover the french toast
  4. Top with powdered sugar and/or syrup when ready
