As it starts to get colder, nothing gets us cozier and warmer than a nice cup of Hot Cocoa. Some may say it might be too early but we think it’s just right. Even set the table to show off your NEW harvest hot cocoa recipe – featured here is our Natural Canvas Collection hosted by Amy Mings of maisondemings.com. Let’s take a look at her take on Harvest Hot Cocoa!

Let’s start with products you would need to successfully set up a fresh, new tablescape. It’s always helpful to set the table first to really get a feel of what you want to make for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert or all of the above. With this Harvest Hot Cocoa placesetting, you’ll need the following Denby products from the Natural Canvas Collection:
Now the fun begins! Here is Amy Mings’ Recipe for Harvest Hot Cocoa:
Ingredients needed:
- Heavy or double cream
- Chocolate (we prefer dark)
- Drinking cocoa powder
- Apple cider
- Vanilla extract
- Ground cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves
To make this stove top Harvest Hot Chocolate, heat your saucepan over a medium-high heat. Add the heavy cream, chocolate, and cocoa powder. Stir until melted and smooth – mixture should be hot. Next, add the apple cider, vanilla extract, and spices, and whisk until combined. Heat the mixture until very warm, but do not boil.
Pour into mugs or heat-proof glasses, top with whipped cream and a pinch of cinnamon, and serve immediately.
TIP: Fill some of your Denby bowls with topping to add to the fun of your hot cocoa recipe!
