Let’s start with products you would need to successfully set up a fresh, new tablescape. It’s always helpful to set the table first to really get a feel of what you want to make as your Christmas dessert this year. With this Apple Dump Cake placesetting, you’ll need the following Denby products from the Natural Canvas Collection:
HOW TO MAKE ONE-POT APPLE DUMP CAKE WITH SALTED CARAMEL
- 1 20oz can apple pie filling
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1/4 cup cinnamon/sugar mix
- 1/2 cup salted caramel chips
To make this One-Pot Apple Dump Cake with Salted Caramel, grab your Natural Canvas Cast Iron 20cm Casserole Dish. Pre-heat oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit. Be sure to add cooking spray – not needed but recommended. Then, dump in the 20oz can of apple pie filling. Following, add the box of yellow cake mix.
Now, time to pour! Pour a 1/2 cup of melted butter over the top of the cake mix. Do not mix – just keep layering. Next, sprinkle a 1/4 of cinnamon/sugar mix over the melted butter. Add a 1/2 cup of salted caramel chips on top. Cover and cook at 325 degrees Fahrenheit as mentioned earlier for approximately 1 hour (until done).
TIP: To make this recipe more fun and taste flavorful, serve with some vanilla ice cream & top with pecans or other nut variety if there are nut allergies of course!
